Nutritional Therapy

The core of Nutritional Therapy is to find the root cause of symptoms a client may be experiencing. The goal is to address potential underlying imbalances so that the client can progress toward optimal health.  A symptom is a side effect of something happening within the body – there is a root cause for these symptoms to appear.  Rather than prescribing ways to treat the negative symptoms for temporary relief, Nutritional Therapy addresses the root cause in order to heal and repair the body.

Nutritional Therapy focuses on bio-individuality.  There is no one-size-fits-all approach, because every person is different with unique nutritional needs.  Nutritional Therapy helps to correct the body’s imbalances and care for nutritional deficiencies using food as medicine and specific protocols that align with the client’s bio-individuality.

In my practice, I use different assessment tools and lab testing such as the GI Map and MRT Food Sensitivity test. Using these tools and tests, as well as a detailed health history interview and food journal, a recommendation plan will be created and tailored to the client’s individual nutritional needs, stress levels, activity levels, lifestyle, and environment.

*Nutritional Therapy Practitioners do not diagnose or treat disease.  We help to determine imbalances and deficiencies, monitor your progress, and guide you toward optimal health.
